Car wouldn't start in the car park, slap bang in the middle of the journey, 3 hours from either end. Bought some jump cables from the store (which they went and found on the shelf and set aside for us) and one of the colleagues David was kind enough to let us use his car to start ours. Really decent staff who were happy to help
Me and my father went into asad to get a few bits for dinner and my dad needed a belt for his trousers we looked at the men's section none! asked staff and none! all I want is a belt ASDA get your belts together. PS if you need a belt don't go to ASDA the rotten vegetables were also a concern. :)
This store needs to consider its layout. Empty baskets need to be at the front of the store for customers coming in, not kept at the entrance to the tills. Customers entering the store often looked confused as there are no baskets to be found and then need to fight through those queuing at the till to get to an empty basket.
Shelves seem to have no stock...looking for Worcestershire sauce none in stock, trying to find yeast- no stock. Why are stock levels so low at this store? Parking plentiful though shopping items lacking.
I regularly used to shop here on my way to my Mum's but was disappointed with the selection and quality of fruit and vegetables. Very poorly stocked. Surprised to see ready peeled potatoes in plastic. Was looking for loose potatoes. Hardly any sandwiches left or soft drinks as they no longer offer meal deals but have a 3 for 2 offer instead. Store was surprisingly dirty. Perhaps staff off sick but certainly wouldn't rush to shop here for a while.
Whilst this is not a large store it certainly manages to stock a large variety of products everything from clothes to icecream.
I was really impressed with an older Male member of there staff, who heard me asking my partner if he had seen where salt was, and this gentleman picked up on the conversation and steered us in the right direction, nice to see staff being proactive.
The store was clean and well stocked, my only negative comment was that the bread isle seemed in disarray and products hadn't been brought forward especially on the lower shelves. This could result in the store losing revenue.
I will continue to shop here in the future.
Since Asda has finally introduced a reward scheme I've enjoyed watching my points increase. I only buy what I need though and not the incentives they push.
While their range is good and prices seems competitive, I have been finding them to continue to removed key in gradients that I need for cooking. Which is frustrating and I've got to search elsewhere.
I'd love to see them expand their fresh produce range. I suppose being the son of a grocer I was spoiled for choices.
Super stores have huge spaces unlike dads shop which is why it's sad they don't sell wider ranges and promote healthier eating.
Albeit a moan or yearn but Asda does give good products at good prices.
Shocked by the rudeness of staff when I expressed disappointment that none of the checkouts was staffed. I was feeling ill and shopping for medication, so could have done with a bit of help rather than a defensive and unsympathetic denial of responsibility. I dislike self-checkout at the best of times so despite getting the items I needed, I’ve come away feeling worse than when I went in.
